My husband and I have been real estate investors in the Bristol TN/VA market for 13 years. We grew our “side” business to 30-ish doors by 2019, with a primary goal of providing affordable rental housing to area college kids. In 2020, we joined forces with a partner and grew to include 15 more doors. By spring of 2023, I realized this business was no longer a “side” business and stepped away from my role as HR Director for a local Chick-fil-A.
